What is Matrihelp? Why did it started? What does it did? Where is it heading now?

MATRIHELP (An Exclusive Brahmin Matrimony) started during 2006 and from 2007 onwards sending 1000s of books every 45 days free of cost. Covered more than 40000 brahmin homes and reached 1 out of every 3 brahmin homes in Tamilnadu. I dont think any Matrimony or religious charities carried this activity so extensively and with complete dedication.

We started the initiative to create awareness on the following:

1. To educate people to put the same effort for their son as that of their girl. (Parents feel as if they have fire in their belly and afraid that their daughter may get into love etc. Also more worried about the girls future if they leave this world without settling their girl's marriage.

2. At the same time the parents never leaves no stones unturned for their girl, they think about the marriage only when their son turns 30 years. Many parents never put the same effort as that of their daughter. Most parents withdrew from searching early.

3. Many parents told me that they had spent more than Rs.5000- Rs.10000 (not in one year but in 5 years) for their son. They never ever thought how much their son paid from the salaries.

4. Just compare the amount spent for the son with that of their daughter. For a girl's marriage, parents are ready to spent in Lakhs whereas for their son they calculate every single penny.

    Why? Just because Boys are not perishable. Even if the parents died, Boys will not have a problem.

BUT WHETHER THE PARENT EVER THINK THAT THEY ARE ENDING A VERY LONG LINEAGE.

I think we had create enough awareness. Now it is the turn of those who read it to pass on the message to others.

As the expense mounting (I am spending almost a Lakh every year over and above the amount collected from the boys for the printing/distribution of free book), we are stopping the publication of books wef 30th June 2012.

Instead, I had rebuilt this exclusive brahmin Matrimony "MATRIHELP.COM' with complete features of that of a leading matrimony websites which charges in thousands, and made it FREE.

Now it is upto the community to use it or leave it.
